Many of us neurodivergent folks often find it difficult to fully understand what it is we’re feeling.
We can sit with a vague sense that something doesn’t feel right for hours, days, even months, before we realise, Oh, the way that person spoke to me upset me, or whatever the root might be.
Or we might feel an emotion that is overwhelming in its intensity, without being able to pinpoint what’s driving it, and, therefore, what we can do about it.
If you find yourself sitting with a tough emotion or a vague sense of discomfort, this exercise is a useful one to process what’s going on.
