Creative Fix Reset Day 5

Creative habits that nourish you

It’s Day 5 of the Creative Fix Reset!

How have we reached the final day?! I can’t believe it. Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun?

I’ve had a blast with all of you - I hope you’ve loved it as much as I have. I’d love to hear about any insights or “OMG it all makes sense now!” moments you’ve had this week, and any changes you’ll make after this Reset.

Today, we talked about rest and why it matters so much to your creative process. We talked about the seven types of rest (I blanked on the name of Dr Saundra Dalton-Smith - oops!), and we looked at how creativity can be a form of rest in itself.

We also worked our way through another Creative Fix Cycle:

If you want to catch up on any previous days, this is what they looked like...

On Day 1, we looked at the Arrive stage, and how to align our creative activities with our mood and energy:

On Day 2, we looked at the Open → Create → Close section of the Cycle, and managing the tradition into creative time, as well as building the kind of mental clues that add up to a habit:

On Day 3, we looked at the Reflect → Integrate part of the process and how we adapt to our needs and set ourselves up for future success:

On Day 4, we looked at how rewards build motivation:

I have a toolkit that supports you through every stage of the cycle, if you’re someone who likes structure and guidance:

If this challenge has reminded you how much creativity matters to you, don’t let that feeling fade once the challenge ends.

This is your opportunity to turn inspiration into lasting change.

The Creative Uprising is my new three-week programme, designed to help you stop the cycle of inspiration → burnout → guilt → avoidance → restarting, and build a way of creating that fits your real life.

Move from chaotic bursts of creativity to a habit that feels grounded, flexible and sustainable.

Over 3 weeks, you’ll build systems, habits and creative practices that work with your real capacity, your real life, and your real needs, so you can stop relying on motivation and pressure and start making steady progress again.

If you’re tired of constantly starting over, this is your invitation to build something that lasts.

I'm ready to rise
